The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has mourned the death of its immediate past Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, describing his passing as a significant loss to the Corps and the nation.
The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, conveyed the organisation’s condolences in a personally signed letter to the Biu family, where he described the deceased as a dedicated officer whose career was marked by discipline and commitment to public service.
Biu joined the FRSC during its formative years and rose through the ranks to become the seventh substantive Corps Marshal. He served in the position from July 2022 to May 2024.
According to Mohammed, Biu’s years in the Corps were characterised by a strong understanding of its mandate and sustained efforts toward improving road safety administration, operational effectiveness and institutional development.
The Corps Marshal noted that the late officer’s contributions to the growth of the FRSC had become part of the institution’s collective legacy.
Mohammed described Biu’s death as a painful loss to the FRSC and Nigeria, while extending his condolences to the deceased’s family.
He prayed that Allah forgive Biu’s shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Paradise.
