……Says ‘We Don’t Fear Opposition’..
A socio-political group, Team DA-YAYI 4 PBAT 2027, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will retain control of Ogun State in the 2027 general elections.
The group, which is loyal to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and committed to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the emergence of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, as the next governor of the state, made this known in Abeokuta.
Speaking with journalists, the State Coordinator of the group, Alhaji Hon. Ajeigbe U. Ishola, said the achievements of the Abiodun administration across various sectors had strengthened the APC’s position ahead of the 2027 elections.
“Governor Dapo Abiodun has performed beyond people’s expectations in the areas of infrastructure, education, health, agriculture and other sectors,” Ajeigbe said.
He maintained that the governor had ensured that the three senatorial districts benefited from government projects, stressing that development had not been concentrated in one part of the state.
“Governor Abiodun has touched all three senatorial districts of Ogun State with people-oriented projects. His government is not focused on one senatorial district alone; he has given all the districts attention in terms of development,” he stated.
Ajeigbe further argued that the administration’s performance would strengthen the APC’s chances in the 2027 election, urging residents to support what he described as continuity in governance.
“He has done what will make APC win Ogun State with a wide margin. We are therefore calling on the people of Ogun State to vote for continuity in the 2027 elections,” he said.
The coordinator also disclosed that the group had established a network of 10,000 canvassers across the 20 local government areas of Ogun State, as part of its mobilisation efforts ahead of the election.
“We have set up 10,000 canvassers for the APC across the 20 local governments of the state. This is just one team, and many other support groups have also put similar structures in place,” Ajeigbe disclosed.
He added that the group remained confident in its mobilisation strategy and the strength of the APC across the state.
“We do not fear any opposition party because our party has done what will guarantee victory in the 2027 election,” he said.
