The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has called on federal and state governments to intensify efforts to tackle insecurity following reports of killings and abductions across several parts of Nigeria.
The party made the call in a statement issued by its National Chairman, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, expressing concern over the growing threats to the safety and welfare of citizens.
It identified Kwara, Niger, Benue, Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kaduna, Borno, Plateau and Yobe as some of the states affected by the security challenges.
The PRP acknowledged the sacrifices of security personnel in combating criminal activities but maintained that more decisive action was needed to protect communities and prevent further attacks.
According to the party, persistent insecurity continues to threaten livelihoods, disrupt economic activities and undermine the well-being of Nigerians.
It urged citizens to speak out against criminality and support efforts to address security challenges across the country.
The party also reminded the Federal Government of its constitutional responsibility to protect lives and property, calling for stronger measures to ensure the safety of citizens nationwide.
