The Senator, representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Senator Shuaib Salisu has said that the massive crowd that recieved him in Abeokuta North Local Government shows that his victory is certain in 2027.
The event which had in attendance, Federal Lawmaker, Rt Hon. Olumide Osoba, the council chairman of Abeokuta North LG, Hon. Lanre Oyegbola Sodipo, the Osi of Egba land and former lawmaker, Chief Bode Mustapha, Hon. Ayorinde, Commissioner for Forestry, Hon. Oludotun Taiwo, the special adviser to Governor Abiodun on works, Hon. Adeshina, Alhaji Bakai Okedara, the party chairman, Alhaja Faidat Sarunmi Akintunde, a House of Assembly member, Hon. Dr. Babatunde Tella, Former Ambassador to UK, Tunji Ishola ward leaders, local executives, and party loyalists across the council area among others.
Salisu who disclosed this on Monday during his vist to the Local Government as to seek for the residents’ support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said that the leadership in the local government has demonstrated a resounding show of unity and strength, saying that he can now sleep with his two eyes closed.

Shuaib characterized the massive turnout as “delightful” and “extremely reassuring,” emphasizing that all core internal structures of the party in Abeokuta North were fully mobilized and aligned.
“What I am seeing here is that key political figures in Abeokuta North—including local leadership, ward leadership, and all APC stakeholders—are here,” the party chieftain declared. “APC is alive in Abeokuta North. Look at the caliber of people here today” this shows that i can now sleep with my two eyes closed because with this massive crowd, victory is certain in 2027″
According to him, the centerpiece of the gathering was a unified pledge by party stakeholders to deliver a clean sweep for the APC across all electoral offices, popularly tagged as the “5-over-5” mandate.
He added that the strategy aims to secure maximum votes across all ballot levels: the Presidential, Senatorial, House of Representatives, Governorship, and State House of Assembly races.
Shuaib commended party members for maintaining peace and order throughout the rally, assuring voters that the party’s solid organizational base guarantees a decisive victory at the polls.
“Abeokuta North is making a very loud statement: this is the base of the APC, and APC is winning this election,” the party official added. “This is a peaceful gathering, and it shows the deep level of support our party enjoys. To all our members in Abeokuta North, I want to assure them that victory is ours”.
With grassroots mobilization in full swing, the APC in Abeokuta North continues to project unwavering optimism, setting a high standard for party cohesion across Ogun State.
